On the Myth of an Anti-War Trump

The other day a guy told me that it’s been so long since we’ve had such an anti-war president. I told him, “Yeah, it’s been a long time since Jimmy Carter.”

He said, “I meant Donald Trump.”

Is Trump anti-war?

I’ve been busy these days, so I’m just going to list a few things, and then provide several links.

As soon as he became president Trump sent 3,000 more troops to Afghanistan.

There was a 330% increase in civilian deaths in Afghanistan in 2016.

Coming close to war with North Korea using Twitter—y’all remember that?

Trump abandoned a non-proliferation of nukes deal with Iran.

He increased troop levels in Iraq.

He pardoned convicted war criminals.

He deployed troops to seize Syria’s war and offer to sell it to Exxon. He’s the first president to order an attack on the Syrian government. (Oh, and by the way, that’s called a war. It isn’t not a war.)

Trump has planned to invade Mexico with an army. That is also warfare in what is called a war.

He catalyzed the collapse of the Venezuelan government (over 40,000 people died, like what a war does), then demonized Venezuelan immigrants to America.

Anti-war President? Read on, folks.

Any fair and deep assessment will show that Trump is no less willing then most Presidents since Truman to enter into conflict, and it is only because of Bush (but really Cheney) invading half the middle east because of a handful of terrorists that Trump can make himself look remotely like a dove.

He also ordered an assassination on a general.

Trump and Vance together are likely to support Ukraine, and Taiwan, not to mention try to send U.S. soldiers to South America.

Oh, and for the grand finale:

Trump aided Ukraine. And all signs point to him doing it again if elected again.
